This school provides education and support for 11-16 year olds who are at risk of being, or have been, permanently excluded from secondary schools.

Staff work with students to identify and remove barriers to learning so they can return to a mainstream school or to access specialist school settings if more appropriate. This school provides education and support for 7-13 year olds with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who have Education Health and Care Plans. Students have the opportunity to specialise in a range of vocational subject areas, with industry-standard facilities and expert teachers – alongside a focus on literacy and numeracy skills. Horizons

Horizons Academy Bexley

Horizons Academy Bexley is commissioned as part of London South East Academies Trust to provide the Pupil Referral Service and alternative provision for London Borough of Bexley. Housed in a purpose-built school, Horizons Academy Bexley is able to provide high quality education and behaviour intervention programmes for pupils who are either excluded or at risk of exclusion and who live within the borough. The school caters for children and young people from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4, offering a range of services from short term respite provision to longer term education for students in Key Stage 4 for whom mainstream school is no longer able to meet their needs.
